The Hand That Makes collection draws inspiration from childhood memories of my grandparents, who lived a self-sustaining lifestyle, growing their own produce, engaging in traditional practices like harvesting, baking, keeping animals responsibly for food, crafting their own clothes, wine-making and much more.

Every aspect intertwined with, and depended on the changing seasons: determining the right time for harvesting crops and fruits; periods for preparation, preservation, and storing provisions for the winter - each task a testament to their hard work. Then came the joyful gatherings: lengthy wooden tables laden with food; families, friends, guests and strangers coming together in celebration; revelling in music, dance, and wearing their finest outfits.

The Hand That Makes seeks to evoke nostalgia for simpler times while emphasizing the importance of sustainable living and ethical practices in today's fast-paced world. Each piece in the collection is a testament to the cyclical nature of life, celebrating the beauty of growth, creation, and nurturing - carrying the legacy of our ancestors into the future, preserving the cycle of life for generations to come.
